- An IETF working group that develops standards for the basic
mechanisms of service differentiation based on code points in the IPv4
TOS byte or the IPv6 Traffic Class octet.
- TEQUILA
- Another IST project that is defining service definitions and tools
for quantitative end-to-end quality of service. The work on the
technical aspects of Service Level
Specifications (SLS) is of particular interest to SEQUIN.
- TF-NGN
- Technical work carried out by European NRNs (National Research
Networks) under coordination of DANTE and TERENA, concerning several
technologies for backbone networks. Includes activities on support for delay and
jitter requirements, AF-based
services, over-provisioned network
performance analysis, and QoS
monitoring.
- MOICANE
- an IST project focusing on QoS from
the point of view of access technology
- GÉANT
- Up-to-date information about the new Trans-European research
backbone.
- QUASAR
- DFN research project developing a QoS architecture for the G-WiN, the German
gigabit research network. QUASAR is cooperating with SEQUIN in Proof of Concept
testing and coordination of international user groups
