The Q-Med project

Introduction

The Q-MED project aimed to offer high quality network services to the national research networks of Israel and Cyprus and to provide connectivity to the pan-European TEN-155 research network. Q-MED was a complementary project to QUANTUM and provided for the connection of MACBA/ILAN and CYNET to TEN-155. There has been a close cooperation with QUANTUM with a view to the trials of protocols for real time multi-media services, as well as the QoS management inherent in the ATM technology. The results were to be utilised in order to develop real time multi-media services for the network.

MACHBA/IUCC (Israeli InterUniversity Computation Center), the University of Cyprus/CYNET, GRNET and INFN/GARR were Partners in the Q-MED project with DANTE as the Coordinating Partner.

The Q-MED Project was co-funded under the EC's Telematics for Applications Programme.

Full access to the Q-MED documents is restricted to the participants in the project.
